[He's already given her a gift for the holiday, but this is different. He offers Lobco a small box.
Inside is a round charm - a red circle, on which is set a white mask with scars over the eyes. The eye markings should be familiar: they're the same as the ones Grimm and his child have.]
[Another gift? But he had already given her one--which she was wearing at the moment.]
Oh?
[She gingerly takes the box from him and opens it up to see a rather adorable looking little charm--it's quite distinct and she can certainly see where the design came from.]
Oh, look! A charm with a very charming face on it.
[Wearing this small charm gives her a greater sense of belonging and happiness than Chlomaki's uniform ever did---a uniform that practically lay forgotten in the back of her dresser.]
Thank you, Grimm. I'll treasure it.
[She hugged him, wishing she could somehow better express how much it meant to her.]
Hello, Lobco. This Vessel hopes this message finds you well. May it infringe upon your time to discuss something? The topic may be a difficult one, and it understands if you would rather not do so. Thank you, whatever your answer may be.
[Hollow Knight's words concern her and Lobco immediately starts to think back to see if there was anything she did or said that may have been upsetting before she catches herself.
Wait. See where it goes.]
Hello, Hollow Knight. I am doing well, thank you, I hope that the same goes for you. I am free at the moment. What is it that you would like to discuss?

sorry if there are any typos/html snafus, am on mobile!
I always have time for you, Hollow Knight. I did. They were all very lovely. Thank you again for yours.
[She still feels pretty bad she wasnt able to get anyone any gifts, but hopefully now that she has a job she'll be able to make up for it one person at a time]
You are welcome. It is not those gifts that it is referring to however. It means the one under the tree. A redeemable token for something from one’s homeworld.
[Her tail wags a little at the sight of how they refer to themselves.]
I was able to find a place that teaches the sign language used here. They have different courses depending on what you know already and how intensive you want it to be. If you were still interested perhaps we could all go sign up together!
That would be wonderful, Lobco. I will sign up alongside you. Mayhaps sibling, Hornet, Grimm, and Dextera could be coaxed, too. Any any others you view as friends.
[Lobco comes home one afternoon to the sight of two Grimmchildren chasing each other around the appartment.
Or - not exactly. Though at first glance they look the nearly, one of them is a little bigger than Grimmchild, their mask a little more angular. Grimm, as he was in his own youth, spots her and promptly decides to investigate the strange bug by landing on her shoulder.
Even he would be more frightened in a strange place, but the Nightmare King's presence is comforting.]
[Initially Lobco had set out to get ingredients for dinner, but when the world began to distort around her, she decided to return home as quickly as possible to get an understanding of what was going on first. When she enters the apartment she's about to call out to Grimm to see if he's home when her voice immediately falters at the sight of the two tiny bugs scurrying around.
The first, split section reaction is to be baffled by the prospect of Grimm having two children, but she immediately dismisses that possibility. Grimm would have mentioned it if he had two.
When the second Grimmchild lands on her shoulder she is able to note the differences. That mask...it's more like Grimm's. More importantly her antennas can sense it---yes, this is mostly definitely Grimm, and the other is Grimmchild.]
He was just as cute as Grimmchild. She feels her heart swell and she wants nothing more than to hold the two bugs and cuddle them but she should probably figure this all out first, shouldn't she? Assuming this was some strange phenomena caused by the moons or any deities or spirits of Prismatica, there would probably be answers on the network.]
Hello to you too. [She gently rubs her cheek back against him and sets her bags aside before closing the door and reaching down to hold her hand out for Grimmchild.]
Did you just become small? [She can't speak Nyaahs but she recalls Grimm saying that Grimmchild could understand them, so hopefully yes or no answers shouldn't be too hard for her to interpret.]
[Lobco lifts up Grimmchild and carefully places them on her other shoulder.]
Let's see what everyone is saying.
[She turns on her communicator to browse through the network and as she suspects they aren't the only people experiencing this. Several other people report their companions becoming children--even children accessing the network.
The general pattern seems to be that they become children not only in body but mind as well.]
Hmm.
[She looks to Grimm, pensively.]
Do you remember me?
[If they don't have any of their memories past this age asking about something specific that way seemed the best way to confirm for sure]

text; un: TheHollowKnight - early feb!!
This conversation will be less fraught than the previous one, I promise you.
How have you been?
no subject
You don't have to worry about that :)
I've meaning to contact you as well.
I'm doing very well, thank you.
And you?

Apologies.
I have been perfectly well.

I will see if Konoka, Suzuka and Fish are interested too.
[She sends them a link.]
Here is the information if you wanted to look more into it.
[The prospect of not having to be dependent on the communicators in order to speak when face to face is exciting! She's rather impatient to start.]
