Jan. 22nd, 2018 08:23 pmPlease read: For the mods who read this and anyone who gets curious about Lobco, please be mindful that her backstory contains a lot of triggering content. As there is no history section I haven't gone into detail about this in the application, but it is alluded to in her personality section. If accepted I will create a post where people can request I avoid bringing up that material as much as possible, or opt out of interacting with her entirely.

Name: Lobco
Canon: Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea / Funamusea Universe
Canon Point: Post True End,
Age: Appearance: Late Teens / Early Twenties, Biological: 100-200 years.
Type of Character: Canon
Reference: http://wadanohara.wikia.com/wiki/Lobco
Personality: To avoid some possible confusion, I refer to Lobco as a shrimp/lobster/crustacean because she is technically a hybrid of the two. She has weird parentage.
Lobco is a very polite and prim person. She’s always mindful of her manners, always tries to think about others and the position they are in, and tries her best to be kind and patient with everyone. Considering some of the things she has undergone, one would think that Lobco would be a bitter and resentful person, but she is incredibly empathetic and compassionate person. She’s quite a stickler for keeping things clean and having everything in its proper order, to a point that it could be considered a tick. She enjoys cleaning and general housework, a trait that she inherited from her mother and learning about everything under the sun. When we are first introduced to her she is in her crustacean form, riding in Chlomaki’s (her witch's) hat as she returns Wadanohara’s ocarina.
Lobco is essentially the straight man to Chlomaki’s wise guy. Chlomaki is a powerful witch, but Lobco is the one who has to remind her of her duties, of why she set out to do certain things, was the one who kept her on track and tried to remind her to be serious in certain situations. Lobco taught her a lot about the sea but unfortunately her witch tended to either completely ignore her until she heard it from someone else, or at the very least pretended to in hopes of getting a rise out of her.
Lobco puts up with a lot from her Witch who often hits her, teases her, and seems to barter with her life when using spells that can drain a familiar. It shows either incredible patience, perseverance, a strong sense of duty or how desperate she is to be important to people outside of her parents. Perhaps a combination of all four, as it is a bit of a joke that other citizens of the Sea Kingdom tend to forget/ignore her, and even Lobco refers to herself as ‘just some shrimp’.
The truth is Lobco suffers from depression, anxiety, ptsd and might even have a bit of Stockholm syndrome going on. For every word that she says, there are at least twenty more that she keeps to herself, and she expresses several times a desire to ‘just die’. Outside of the game there have been several official comics/pics that show her as being a bit of a doormat, and being prone to misfortune and freaking out. She is also a victim of extreme abuse. While her witch can be pretty bad, it doesn't measure up even a bit to what she receives from a demon named Roc Hijohshiki, something she suffers alone and has exacerbated the aforementioned disorders, and instilled the Stockholm syndrome.
When it comes to other people, she is someone who is strong, knows when to act, and doesn’t let that fear get in her way. She left the kingdom to explore. It is said that a lot of misfortune tends to befall her whenever she leaves the sea (and considering what she encounters and other comments made by the creator, it's possible that Lobco is literally cursed with bad luck) and this tends to get under Lobco’s skin, strengthening her pessimism but even then she never stopped traveling.
In her profile she is said to love ‘home’ and her hobby is 'photography’. Despite her traveling there is nothing she loves more than her home and family. The lobster simply has a case of wanderlust and a desire to forge herself into a better person–which she doesn’t think she’d be able to do remaining where she was. She’s got an artistic side that doesn’t often come up.
Appearance: Lobco stands at 162cm / 5'3. She is fair skinned and has bright red hair that is short in the back, and is long and curly in the front. She has two bright red antennas that stick up from the top of her head, with two smaller ones protruding from them. She's got a long, red shrimp tail. Her eyes have black sclera and her pupils are red. She usually wears the uniform of her witch which consists of a black jacket with golden epaulets and buttons, a black skirt and hosiery, boots, gloves, and a red chain.
In her shrimp form she looks like this.
Abilities: Lobco's most notable ability is the power to transform. She is in actuality a crustacean with the ability to take on a humanoid shape, rather than the reverse. Thus, Lobco can change between said humanoid form and her shrimp form. In her shrimp form she is but an inch long.
In her crustacean form she is still able to speak as she normally does. Whenever she transform, she retains whatever she has on her person, such as her clothing, when she returns to her humanoid form.
In both forms she can breath underwater, and if she has a contract with someone, she can grant them the ability to breath underwater as well if they are in her vicinity.
She is capable of regenerating her extremities and overall is built tougher than a human, but it would take months for her to regrow them and she can still bleed out or die from infection if not given proper treatment.
Drinking her witch's blood enables her to have a burst of extreme speed and power, but it is quickly vanished and if abused can kill Lobco. Other abilities that come from her contract is the potential to inherit her witch's magic if trained, and an ability to remain conscious of her life and general location. This also connects her to all other familiars that her witch has, which at the present are four others.
Suitability: Lobco has..suffered a lot in her canon. She's unfortunately been given the short end of the stick and as much as I love her character what she has been put through has not been handled with what you would call grace.
I think her being taken to Aifaran would give her the pause in life that she needs to firstly, get a break from the abuse she faces, secondly, begin to come to terms with it, and last of all find a way to love herself and realize her worth. Finding peace will come by making friends with people who will treat her with respect and genuine care, and I would be interested in having her explore the Sabonile and learn some meditative arts---their dedication to the truth and equality is something she would highly respect.
Lobco is a very hard worker, and has a deep sense of wanderlust and desire for knowledge, so revitalizing her sense of exploration is definitely something I'd want to do.
Inventory: Her clothing as described in her appearance.
